Working the Line (Oil 16″ x 20″) on the left , to the Museum of Northwest Arts annual auction which takes place this Saturday evening in La Conner, Washington. And a small oil painted during last summer’s Whidbey Plein Air Open: Cranberry Lake to the South (Oil 8″ x10″) is up at The Lightcatcher Art Gallery in Bellingham. Mitch Albala juried it into the final exhibition and Silent Auction, the other oil of sunflowers sold. Huge Open Hanging with paintings split between The Lightcatcher and the Old Town Hall to accompany Fate of the Forest exhibition until September. Ever so pleased about this. Unfortunately, Whidbey is postponing their plein air open this year and putting it forward to 2012 when it will be bigger, and better and so forth and so on. Bummer. It’s not about bigger and better from my shoes. It’s about a week of painting and chat and re-connecting with others. I was so looking forward to it as the Farmers Market will have ended. Well, boo sucks. Japan?
