Pleasing Pots

New work. Throwing large plates and bowls always quite exciting.  Many variables to think about. Drying is critical so that there’s no warping, or cracking.  Clearly influenced by trip to Japan in September. No bad thing, actually. This plate made several trips this summer to the Farmers Market just dressed in glaze. Then, when I got back the chintz og pattern and luster treatment seemed right.  Wild Fibers in downtown Mount Vernon — Sarah Parker owner — has taken a selection of  yarn bowls andFloral chintz, and Exotics buttons this week.
